Q: One of my roommates just moved out and left behind a ton of plain instant oats. I really don't like the texture of them when they're cooked and I can't figure out how to use them. Are there any good ways to use them up so they don't go bad (mixing them into cookies or something)?

Editor: What about grinding the oats into flour and using it in baked goods? You can substitute the oat flour for a portion of the regular all-purpose flour for things like muffins, quick breads, and scones. But yes, I think instant oats would be great in cookies as well!
Readers, what ideas do you have for using up instant oats?
