Q: After cleaning out my pantry this weekend I found a package of charcoal noodles that I accidentally bought at the Asian super. I thought I was buying squid ink noodles so I was really surprised when I read the ingredients and saw they were made with charcoal.
Has anyone used these before and if so how did you prepare them?

Editor: Audrey, seeing as Halloween is this weekend, it seems like the perfect time to make a dish of black noodles! We would cook them like soba, and toss them with a bit of sesame oil and soy sauce — maybe some dark mushrooms, too.
