Q: I work at a Boy Scout camp, and we receive a large donation of frozen ham. It seems to be in very thin slices (almost fluffy) and is within date, but it's entirely flavorless. Any suggestions of how the Boy Scout cooks can make the ham edible or perhaps delicious?

Editor: It sounds like this ham is maybe intended as deli meat for sandwiches, but I'd suggest using it in things like pasta sauces, soups, casseroles, and breakfast scrambles. Use a lot of spices and fresh vegetables to amp up the flavor of the overall dish. It's worth a shot!
Readers, what ideas do you have for using up this ham?

wrap the ham with provolone cheese and maybe fill it with cream cheese?
cut it in tiny pieces and hide it in some fried rice?
I am thinking campfire--fold it onto skewers with onions, peppers, potatoes and warm over a campfire. Think about shwirma meat--pack the thin slices tightly, well folded over and wedged between veggies.
I like to pan fry it a little bit and put it in a crusty roll with melty cheese....yum!
I second pan frying, with onions and some soy or Worcestershire sauce if the ham is truly flavorless. Use it as a filling for wraps with tomato, lettuce, a little mayo, and grated carrot.
Make a calzone? Get some pizza dough, lay down some cheese, ham, and seasoning, and then fold it over on itself.
I like the kebab idea. Poor pig, to end up this way!
i'd definitely use it diced. On pizza, in a calzone or fritatta, maybe even as ham salad? Do people outside The South of the 1960s eat that?
When I was a child in Pittsburgh, my mom would often make what we called "ham barbecue" - thin sliced deli ham cooked down in barbecue sauce with a little relish. We ate them like sloppy joes on fluffy hamburger buns.
You can make ham "jerky" - lay the slices out on the oven rack (or on a cooling rack over a cookie sheet), and bake at 200 degrees, checking and turning every 10 minutes until it's dry and jerky like. It sounds crazy, but it's actually pretty good.
Grilled ham & cheese sandwiches.
Ham and cheese scrambled eggs, or mix it with barbecue sauce and serve on buns. No need to get too fancy, it is Boy Scout camp!
S.O.S. is a staple of camp life! Fancy it up by making it strips of ham in beschamel sauce on toast.
