Halloween is tomorrow, a mid-week spookfest that falls on a school night this year. What are your plans for Halloween? Do you have a party planned? Or did you get all rained out by Hurricane Sandy? Are you perhaps living by candlelight this week — and not by choice? Halloween certainly arrived with a loud bang for our East Coast friends (we hope you're all safe, warm, and dry — wherever you are!). Or did you celebrate Halloween last weekend? Tell us — what treats did you make? Or are you still planning something deliciously frightful? Read on for a few of our favorite strong Halloween drinks, for impromptu parties...

Martha Concrete Lam...

Aside from a pet costume contest, I went to a birthday/Halloween party last Friday. I brought some rather nasty chocolate yogurt dip-goo stuff I whipped up. The next day I mixed it into cookies. Its second life was much more delicious!
We've had spooky punch every friday at work for my department. For my week, I made a key lime pie punch (very boozy!) complete with dry ice and green glow sticks!
I made awesome cupcakes last year- brain cupcakes and plain looking ones with a bloody eyeball on top that when you bit into it had caramel I dyed black to stain your mouth! No time this year sadly...Gotta love halloween!
Forget costumes and candy, tricks or treats. I'm heading out to the San Francisco Giants World Series Champions parade!!!
Black and orange...so apt!
we went to a party on Saturday but we're stuck with no power thanks to that storm that hit this week, so i am fairly certain Halloween isn't happening in our part of the city.
sigh.
