Q: Making tarts is a great love of mine. Recently, I've had to stick to recipes that are gluten-free, due to the diet restrictions of my other great love.
Any recommendations for gluten-free tart dough?

Editor: Danamarcelle, we haven't made any gluten-free tarts recently, but here are three from around the blogosphere that are worth trying:
• Gluten-Free Pie Crust - A basic recipe from Shauna at Gluten-Free Girl.
• Gluten-Free Almond Tart Crust - A nutty alternative at Hey, that tastes good!
• Gingersnap Tart Crust - A great quick recipe using Trader Joe's gluten-free gingersnaps, from the Restaurant Widow.
Readers, any recommendations for Danamarcelle?

You should check out Tartlette's blog at http://www.mytartelette.com/. She does a lot of baking and makes a lot of it low-gluten or gluten free.
Gluten Free Pantry's Perfect Pie Crust mix worked well for a fruit tart I made. Because making GF things is infrequent for me, I didn't want to buy a lot of expensive ingredients I wouldn't use again. I did have trouble rolling it out, so I just pressed it into my tart pan and it turned out great. It was almost like shortbread in texture, which I love for tarts.

The gluten-free pie crust recipe from Gluten Free Baking Classics by Annalise Roberts is fantastic. Every time I have made it, it turns out flaky and soft, and not at all gritty like some recipes. GF pie crusts can be difficult to roll out, and I don't like to use a lot of flour because it can make them grainy, so I normally roll it out between parchment paper or plastic wrap, or just press it into the pan.
I have a recipe on my blog: epicbaker.com that came from Tartlette.
If you don't want to use the mixes, Red Mills's Gluten Free All Purpose Flour is awesome :)
thx so much guys, i've been searching around for good gf recipes a ton lately and am excited to check these out. if anyone has any other favorite gf blogs or recipes please post! i'm also about to try King Arthur's gf mix, so we'll see how that goes:)
& Tartlette is a gorgeous blog! Just checked it out for the first time.
I would suggest the pie crust from rebecca reilly's - gluten free baking -- it's amazing for both savory and sweet dishes.
Cannelle et Vanille (she recently went gluten-free). I recently tried her almond pie crust and it came out beautifully.
