Whether your family consists of you and your partner, your dorm-mates, your kids, or your cat, why not treat yourselves this weekend? We might mix up some pancakes or splurge on bagels and lox, but rarely do we spend the time to make the full breakfast spread. So grab your bathrobe and your spatula, and let's crack some eggs...
To us, the "full breakfast spread" means eggs, bacon, home fries, and a starch in the form of pancakes, waffles, or hearty toast. There must also be choices of condiments, ranging from sweet jam to ketchup. And of course, coffee. Lots of coffee.
Taking the time for a full breakfast also means sitting down at the table and taking our time. We settle in with newspapers and books, and prop our feet on spare chairs. We don't put leftovers away, but leave them out for nibbling. There's not always time to do this, even on the weekends, so chilling out over a long breakfast is a real luxury for us. Like taking a mini-vacation in our dining room!
So no big project to mull over this weekend - let's just enjoy a leisurely breakfast instead, ok?!
