Does this count? I've got video and DVD of a lot of Julia Child episodes (from her various series) and I watch them when I fold laundry.
As cable becomes more feeble, and the cable news networks slumber into info-tainment, I find my TV is tuned to Food Network more often. I'll watch anything once, but I won't download your recipes or buy your cookbook unless your stuff is stunning. Giada on Everyday Italian is terrific, Sara Moulton is wonderful, Mario has great authenticity in his food and even Rachel has come up with meals that are quick and tasty (and doable!) The cookbooks I've purchase are Barefoot Contessa, Everyday Italian and The New Best Recipe Cookbook (from the geniuses at America's Test Kitchen).
