Feeling that post-holiday winter gloom? Let us perk you up with a little eye candy on this fine Tuesday morning. Enter Lauren's fabulous, flirty, and oh-so-colorful kitchen, which she transformed as part of Apartment Therapy's Style Cure last fall. Just wait till you see what it used to look like...

Yeah, we know. That was one sad little kitchen. You can practically hear it say, "Help me out of the 1980s. Anyone!"

And so Lauren did just that.

Spurred on last fall by Apartment Therapy's looming Style Cure deadline, Lauren painted her kitchen walls and cabinets, hung classic schoolhouse pendants, and installed a bunch of new features including hardwood floors, a farmhouse sink, butcher block countertops, and a wood plank backsplash. She finished the kitchen with art and accessories from Urban Outfitters, West Elm, Terrain, and Target, and she did the whole thing for only $1,500!

The minty cabinets are the perfect pick-me-up. So fun and fresh! And the pink patterned rug just pulls it all together. Love!
