P&H Soda Company out of Brooklyn is trying to make a push for fresh, artisanal sodas. It's not that owner Anton Nocito thinks soda has to be snooty by any means, but by bringing back real flavors and ingredients you're bound to end up with a better tasting (and healthier) drink. Click through to check out Anton on Martha as he shows her how to make Cream Soda at home!
In the past we've talked about Ikea's Elderberry Syrup, but if you're looking for something a little less commercial, P&H Soda Co. offers classes (if you're in NYC) on soda and syrup making or you can order their products online.
We love our Soda Stream more than almost any other kitchen appliance and use it daily and we're pretty sure these would make a nice addition to your pantry. Do you make soda syrup at home? What flavor would you like to test out? Let us know in the comments below!

I love spring for lots of reasons, but fresh rhubarb syrup to use with my soda stream is just about the best one.
Soda Stream rocks!!! Apple juice with lemon and a wee bit of whiskey. SO SO good. The whiskey is used more like you would vanilla, a teaspoon will provide lots of flavour with out turning the mid-day soda into a cocktail...(unless you want that :D )
Love my Soda Stream too! I make all sorts of syrups from scratch.
But when I'm lazy I just mix some pomegranate molasses with some sweetener (honey or whatever you like, sugar stevia, agave) add soda water and voila, pomegranate soda.
I use my soda stream all the time, and I normally just make ginger-infused simple syrup to use with it. But next month I'm taking a soda making class at the Brooklyn Brainery (http://bit.ly/hUAOWj). Very excited to learn new sodas to make. I'll have to check out P&H's classes too.
