Video: How to Clean and Care for Bamboo Cutting Boards

We are attracted to bamboo in the kitchen for many reasons - sustainable wood, beautiful finish, natural anti-bacterial properties. But we are hesitant to use much of it because we haven't been sure how to clean it. Enter Tru Bamboo - one of our favorite product booths at the Housewares Show last week. I need a new cutting board. Apparently Whole Foods carries them, so I'll go take a look this weekend.

You should check out a Marshalls, Ross, or TJ Max, etc.. They usually have great deals on brands you would see at department stores.

Those look nice! I keep forgetting to do the mineral oil on my wooden cutting board, and it has gigantic cracks now... eww. I have a bamboo spoon that's my favorite, so I guess I'd better keep up with the oiling.

I've been told that bamboo is so hard that it dulls knives more quickly than other cutting boards. Is that true?
