Valentine's Day Gift Guide: Vosges Chocolate

Pin it button big

Over the holidays, our mail carrier presented us with a gorgeous cloud of sweet-smelling purple boxes. Inside, after much curious digging, we found Vosges Chocolates.

Knowing Maxwell's love of chocolate, a friend generously sent us the Exotic 16-piece Gift Box of truffles, the Exotic Caramel Collection, and a sack of Exotic Chocolate Chips.

What makes this stuff "exotic" you wonder? We wondered too...

Perhaps it's the light dusting of spices atop each piece, and blended into the chocolate chips. While a dusting a paprika or curry may sound a little fashion-forward, it actually makes a lot of sense, as long as you're not a purist. Sweet and spicy do a flavor dance that awakens the palate.

And it's exactly this dance upon your tongue that we think makes Vosges Chocolates a great Valentine's gift. Their Truffle collections have not one piece that you'll bite into and put back; with flavors like Black Pearl, Red Fire and Dulce de Leche, the palate will be satisfied...

...and the post-chocolate kisses will be tasty too.

Items from their suggested Valentine's Day Gift collection range from $39 to $185, so the prices are steep, but come on, the kisses are worth it.
