America’s unicorn craze — the love for all things rainbow-themed and sparkly — is going mainstream. After

lattes

bagels and
grilled cheese, there will be a unicorn Frappuccino gracing the menu at Starbucks.

The franchise previously had a unicorn drink in their secret menu (although an anonymous barista has debunked the myth that a secret menu is real; it’s really just customers asking for weird stuff they’ve read online), but after the concept of the beverage went viral, Starbucks is hopping on board with an official drink on its menu.

“Once only found in enchanted forests, unicorns have been popping up in social media with shimmering unicorn-themed food and drinks,” says Starbucks in a statement. “Now Starbucks is taking the trend to a new level with its first Unicorn Frappuccino® blended beverage.”

But it won’t be available around the globe, and it’ll only be around for a small window of time: Select locations in the United States, Canada, and Mexico will feature the beverage on the franchise’s official menu from April 19 to April 23.

What is the “flavor-changing” drink all about? At its core, it’s a crème Frappuccino with sweet pink powder dusted within. This is drizzled with mango syrup and layered with a sour blue drizzle, creating a pink and blue ombré effect. The drink is garnished with whipped cream and sprinkles of sweet pink and sour blue powder topping. Colorful in appearance; sweet and sour in taste.

“Like its mythical namesake, the Unicorn Frappuccino blended crème comes with a bit of magic, starting as a purple beverage with swirls of blue and a first taste that is sweet and fruity,” Starbucks says in a statement. “But give it a stir and its color changes to pink, and the flavor evolves to tangy and tart. The more swirl, the more the beverage’s color and flavors transform.”

The drink is only available for five days while supplies last, so fans of the unicorn trend should get ready to indulge while they can.
