Ungift Guide 2007: Fudge-Covered Marshmallows

Candy is at the top of the list when it comes to homemade kitchen gifts and our Un-Gift Guide 2007, focusing on gifts from the home and gifts that don't require unnecessary consumption. Marshmallows, however, are one thing that we have never attempted but have meant to try for a long time.

This recipe for Momma Reiner's Chocolate-Covered Marshmallows may change that. These homemade marshmallows are cut big and pillowy, then quickly dipped in a hot pan of fudge. The sugar quotient is off the charts, but isn't that an essential part of the holidays?

Have you ever made marshmallows? If so, do you have any tips, tricks, or recipes?
