It's a...bag! No, a backpack. It's a tote for your farmers market loot, and leave it to the San Franciscans to raise the art of the market bag to a science.
This bag, designed in San Francisco by Betabrand, can function as both a bag and a backpack. It's designed like a bucket with layers of pockets and zippers to help you stack and sort your farmers market purchases in an orderly way.
Then, if it all gets too heavy, convert the bag to a backpack for the trek home. Quite a bright idea!

Red-and-Pink-Stripe...

As someone who always uses a small backpack, I was excited about this - until I saw that crazy price!! I'll stick to my extra cotton bags, thanks.
A little unrelated but what's with the sunflowers at all the FM? They're gorgeous but last time I bought some they only lasted 5 days on my kitchen table :(
I am a huge bagwhore but $120 is too much!
I would use it for an everyday bag rather than a market bag, which I think would justify the price a bit more. I'm willing to pay for quality and something that will last.
Super cute and great idea, but I agree with the other comments--the price is just ridiculous for a shopping bag. I would *maybe* pay half that.
I was looking for the 'LIKE' button lol
but WHOA! at $120 whew
This is a great idea for anyone who can sew. I can see how the compartments would be nice---potatoes in the bottom, soft fruit at the top.
I don't get how it's better than an ordinary backpack that opens at the top. All the compartments won't prevent heavier things from squashing lighter things below them. Just pack a backpack sensibly and put the flowers or baguettes on top.
Compartments vertically would help from stuff being squished. The bottom of the compartments would keep anything from sagging all the way doan and would bear the weight of heavier items. But yeah 120$ for a tote with some zips I could make it easy for 20$.
