Tyler and Sarah's Kitchen (Just Before the Party Begins!) Kitchen Spotlight

A kitchen, just before the party hits. We love all the little glasses and dishes, lined up on trays.

We love peeking into kitchens, of course, but we especially enjoy seeing kitchens that are all geared up to cook — or to entertain! That's happening in these photos of Tyler and Sarah's kitchen; it's all prepped for a big cocktail party, and we picked up a few tips from their preparations.

Tyler and Sarah's Massachusetts home was prepped in these photos for their annual Spruce Floral holiday party. We loved the peek into their party preparations, and some of the rustic storage in their kitchen. Wire baskets, apple crates, and wood cheese boards: check! All so warm and inviting.

Oh my gosh, invite me!

Scratch that -- adopt me. I missed the house tour post the first time around, but now that I've seen it, I'm packing my bags to move in.

love the apple crates with dishes in them!

this makes me want to go out and buy hundreds of dish towels and store them all in a big wire basket. i would never use another paper towel or sponge ever again!

this is not that different from my kitchen before a party,
except that mine looks a bit like you took this one,
turned it over and shook it a few times. I wish I were
more organized. sigh.

Anyone have a source for those red-striped bar towels?

Please share the menu! Curiosity may have killed the cat but i am still dying to know what went into the containers on the trays!

Kathryn, those look like the cotton ones you can get at Ikea for 50 cents each.
