Apartment Therapy's house tours take us into homes all around the world. This week, as we're looking at Latin American cooking and kitchens, let's take a look back at three home kitchens Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina.
These kitchens are quite different from one another: one is mellow and muted; one's a color-saturated, eclectic space and the other's a white apartment kitchen with a flair of contemporary furnishings and artwork.
• We have always loved the warmth and muted colors of Gennine's kitchen, a finalist in Fall Colors Contest 2006. Such a beautiful space!
• How could we forget the color and that awesome central countertop in Angela and John's Eclectic Argentine Casa? Pictured in the next two images above, the kitchen is a lofty space of daylight, natural materials, and color galore.
• The metropolitan Brazilian apartment of Flavia and Rodrigo's Simpático Space, in contrast, has an efficient kitchen outfitted in mostly white. But, it's not in want of color, either: We love the warm flooring against the white, and the choice pops of color in furniture and artwork.
