I use canning jars for everything these days, so why not add one more can-do to the list: a cocktail shaker! Want to see how it works?
Our friends over at Simply Stated caught this great little tutorial over at Instructables. You just need two lids: one with which to shake, and one to punch holes in. It's a fine solution for small space dwellers who don't have much cabinet or counter space.

I like this idea a lot!
Genius. I don't mix cocktails often, but I can see using this to eliminate mint-in-my-teeth mojitos.
If you punch a small hole at the opposite end (the top) as well, it would likely pour out a little smoother.
Ive been doing this for years, but I dont even bother with the holes. I just use the lid and only leave a little bit of space for the liquid- kind of like draining tuna or canned pineapple.
