Remember last week when Kitchn reader Sarah asked for help making no-bake cheesecake? There were many great suggestions, but one comment caught me off guard. Did you know you could make cheesecake in the slow cooker? No? Me either!
Kitchn reader kdblya mentioned this fun recipe and technique found over at Woman's Day. It involves baking a cheesecake, pan and all, inside your slow cooker.
It doesn't take any less time than more traditional methods, but it does help keep your oven off and your kitchen cool. Also, you may need to make the cheesecake in two batches, since the slow cooker may only hold part of a recipe. But a cheesecake mix will keep in the fridge, and you can make a second batch of cheesecake (possibly for the freezer?) after the first one has finished setting.

Apparently you can also make cheesecake in your pressure cooker, though I have no idea how.
Whoa, this is freaky timing. I am literally making a cheesecake in my bread machine right now. I JUST added the graham cracker crust. I'm using a Zojirushi mini home bakery machine. I've never used it for anything other than bread and I remembered it had a jam, cake, and cookie/pasta dough setting so I thought I'd give the cake course a spin.
Mmm, nothing like a good cheesecake for comfort food!
WOW!
I hope someone uses this recipe and comes back to comments.I'd love to know how it turns out.
I clicked on the link for the slow-cooker cheesecake - got there - but no recipe, only the title & a block for 'Comments'. Where is the recipe???
