2006_07_10-garlic-rich-air.jpgWe spotted this garlic truck in our neighborhood a few nights ago and had to stop to chat with its occupants.

Turns out it belongs to Tovey Organic Garlic Farm upstate. Tovey Halleck, the farmer, used to have a produce stand and storefront in the East Village called Buyer's Club, but now only sell to markets and restaurants directly.

They are hipster cool organic folks with some kind of tie to an art scene as well. If you Google them, strange things happen. Here's a link to a piece involving the truck at Creativetime.org.
