We love a crisp, cool stone tabletop, especially in the heat of summer. The material seems able to cool a space during the hottest months (which are fast approaching!) but it's oh-so-expensive. Here's an alternative: concrete!
We love these concrete tabletops. Their cool gray hue reminds us of the likes of big, Belgian farm tables. Yet the concrete material can even be DIY-ed. What do you think? And do you, like us, enjoy the cool feeling of a masonry tabletop when the temperatures heat up?

I'm contemplating a marble tabletop to match my vermont danby countertops. I love the way they're cool---year round!
yes. that is my other concern
We have a concrete table. Moving it isn't too much of a hassle. You just need 3 or 4 friends.

I'm surrounded by concrete. I don't really want to bring it indoors with me. Some of it does look cool (and feel cool) but it's just too much in this neighborhood.
The ones with wooden legs are lovely. I think they bring warmth and a bit of life to the concrete
