These little tomatoes stand up to their name! Blush tomatoes will grow green, and then turn yellow, like a Sungold.

They will remain at their full length, about two inches long, but wait to pick them until a lovely pink blush starts to appear over their yellow flesh. Blush tomatoes have a creamy, almost tropical flavor, and their softer skin and flesh lend them to juicer preparations.

Try Blush tomatoes in panzanella or make tomato vinaigrette! Because of their interesting shape and color, they’re also fantastic in simpler, raw preparations, especially if you use a colorful variety of cherry-sized tomatoes in a familiar recipe.

All featured tomatoes come from Tomato Mountain Farm. Tomato Mountain is a certified organic farm in Brooklyn, Wisconsin. In addition to growing tomatoes, the 12-acre farm runs a home-delivery CSA to Chicago-area residents for 42 weeks of the year.
