Water is the unsung ingredient in nearly everything we make. We fill the coffee or tea pot first thing in the morning. We rinse the fruit we eat for breakfast, swap recipes around the water cooler at work. We braise, steam, and make stocks with clean water. We end the night scrubbing the dishes.
The average person in the U.S. uses 80 to 100 gallons of water each day.
Here in the U.S., we take clean water for granted, but in developing countries 6,000 children die of water-related diseases every day. Over 1 billion people don't have reliable access to clean water. Join us today in marking World Water Day.
