I like asparagus oven baked with a little olive oil/salt. Nothing too fancy.
I was never an asparagus fan until I tried Smitten Kitchen's shaved asparagus pizza. (http://smittenkitchen.com/2010/05/shaved-asparagus-pizza/) Now it's my all-time favorite pizza and I make it constantly while asparagus is in season.
I feel bad saying this, but I'm on the west coast, and I'm so sick of asparagus. The first few weeks were fun, the next few were convenient, and now... I'm over it. To be fair, I'm not much of an asparagus fan in the first place. Bring on summer!
I'm not sick of asparagus! I love it over fresh avocados spread over a piece of toast. I made a healthy spinach and asparagus dip using (obviously!) asparagus... try it out :)
I'm definitely not sick of asparagus yet! I've made this asparagus soup twice in the past week. So good!
In Belgium we usually eat white asparagus.
I love them the flemish way, a very traditional dish
peeled and cooked, served with chopped up hard boiled eggs, fresh parsley and melted butter.
I should try that in a quiche, with some smoked salmon.
A jar of black bean garlic sauce, and asparagus. I *might* share with DH. Maybe.
