Camilla, the lovely lady behind those adorable green bottles from the other day is full of all sorts of ideas.
In an effort to do away with silly wine bags and gift cards altogether she has a simple $2.00 solution for all your wine gift giving needs.
For $2 at your local craft store you can pick up paint pens in all sorts of festive colors. They also sell glass markers that would work nicely. Simply shake, uncap and scribble out a small message. It's a great way for folks to remember where things came from and does away with all that superfluous packaging that comes with a gift as simple as a bottle of your favorite red or white.

Cute idea, but then you can't re-gift it if it's a bad bottle of wine!
It's a cute idea but I kind of like that my circle of friends and family passes the same cute wine bags around from year to year. I guess if you just throw them away that's wasteful but most people I know will reuse them.
Thumbs down unless it's a very casual gift. I wouldn't want a serious bottle of wine marked up like this.
I don't care for this either - it has the feel of a 'post-it'. I too prefer a really nice wine bag that can be reused - Hero Bags canvas wine totes are my favorite. http://www.herobags.com/bottlebags.html
I like it. If I didn't drink the gift wine right away, then when I went to go open it, I'd be reminded of who gave it to me and I would enjoy seeing her writing and reading what she wrote. I don't save bottles and drinking is supposed to be fun.
I like it for dinner parties and other types of casual occasions but if you're giving a nice bottle of wine for say a wedding or big birthday bash I'd use a reusable (and therefore regiftable) wine bag.
I wouldn't use it for bottles I am gifting, but I think it's a great way to mark a bottle I received with the name of the person who gave it to me. I like to thank the person again after I've actually had the wine, and I recently resorted to putting stickers on the bottles so that I could remember where they came from, but this would be much easier.
