TW Salt Mill by Wil...

My favorite food is peking duck. I love pho too, it's a tie between those two.
I love all ways of chicken-- fried, roasted, poached!
Its hard to come up with a favorite food. Still, the first thing I can think of when I want something comforting and inviting and good at all times, I think of chips and guacamole. There are so many approaches to making guacamole, and I would love seeing ten different ways that I can quickly compare each other to and get a sense of what might best satisfy my cravings.
Chicken! Roasted, poached and fried!
artichokes!
mushrooms! all kinds.
My favorite is the Korean dish, bibimbap. Especially in the winter, is a a flavorful warm comfort dish. Most of my dishes are rice 'casseroles' of sorts. Bibimbap, jambalaya, chicken fried rice, etc.
Eggs! I could not live without them! They are essential to so many things.
Mashed potatoes or baked mac and cheese!
risotto
My favorite food, if I must choose, would be dates. I love every variety, every stage. I don't think they get enough attention in the US, and I'd love it if she included recipes with dates - although they're best by themselves, I'd love to do more with them.
Pasta, because there are so many yummy ways to fix it.
my favorite foods is a tie between bacon and mushrooms... even though bacon only makes its way into my diet about once every month or so...
nonetheless i'm itching for some new kinda way to incorporate mushrooms into dishes besides just the normal saute... this weekend i will be trying out that no cream mushroom sauce posted here yesterday as one of the things that freeze well... i'm even considering making a porcini rubbed turkey for thanksgiving... but we'll have to see how many family feels about that...
but overall i'm searching for new ways to cook mushrooms...
bacon on the other hand... great however its made... and i actually hope its not included in the book... or i might be looking at a future of clogged arteries :-P
Cheese. All kinds -- the good stuff (brie, manchego, local goat cheese) and the normal stuff (regular old orange cheddar) -- and in all sorts of dishes or just alone!
mushrooms
Pizza. I could eat pizza at every meal.
Any sort of fancy pizza makes me happy
the most divine food in the world may very well be Barbecue Ribs...
Favorite food - I'd have to say a burrito or taco. Mm.... makes me hungry just thinking about it. Thanks for the giveaway!
I'm kind of hoping chocolate made it into the book.
I love french fries! But I doubt she would include recipes for fries in her book...
A close second is bacon. I could eat bacon every day.
I love chicken fingers --all kinds :)
I love ice cream, but I can't imagine Ms. Lukins giving ONLY 10 recipes for it. For daily cooking ideas, I would love ten new ideas for chicken - which I find very versatile, but could always use a new twist for it.
I love a good rice. It's so flexible and can be combined with so many different combinations of vegetables (and meats) that it never grows old!
bagels, although i doubt there are any recipes for bagels in here!
tomatoes and eggplant. sooo versatile and delicious. always looking for new recipes.
Eggplant! Which is why I wrote such a long comment on the eggplant post the other day. It's healthy, versatile, cheap and purple! Now that's a power food.
a nice white fish....cuz i need more interesting recipes and its good for u!
Beautifully, simply, roasted chicken ... with potatoes and greens. (no better meal imaginable)
It's gotta be pasta for me, preferably with some Parmiggiano-Reggiano on top. Or in soup. Then again, a freshly made corn tortilla...don't make me choose!
I adore apples, but feel kind of limited in my repertoire-- here's hoping for some new ideas!
Eggs! Especially runny ones, although I love them in all forms, and for all meals. SO versatile.
The noble pig, in pretty much every one of its forms. I would love to learn the best way to use the different cuts of meat.
My favorite food is seafood, especially Dungeness crab. I also like clams, scallops, shrimp and sea bass. I am a baker at heart so I would love a cookbook that will awaken the secret chef inside of me.
Hmmm.. hard to pick just one.
Artichokes
Spinach
Mushrooms
Chocolate
My favorite (of the moment) is lamb chops. I just love the taste of good lamb and it's a fast and versatile weeknight dinner. I've made lamb chops dozens of different ways -- with a cumin and cayenne spice rub, with a mushroom cream sauce, with a sundried tomatoes, with a simple lemon butter sauce or in an Indian curry. Each has been yummy and keeps me from getting bored. I think it would be a good choice for this book as it really can be spun so many different ways.
Btw, I just wanted to mention that after you submit the form, the link back to the post leads to a previous Thursday giveaway for a knife rack.
Any vegetable is ace. Right now my favorites would include avocado, asparagus, and brussel sprouts. Beans are also quite delicious!
Very hard to pick a favorite, but I'd say steak, followed very closely by french fries and bacon!
Pie, I think, is most worthy of endless variation.
Anything with mushrooms, but recently i've been craving hearty soups to calm me down after all night study sessions.
Hopefully there's something in the book i could make on the weekend to feed me for the rest of the week.
Oh this is tough but if I had to choose only one, it would be cheese. I salivate at the thought of cheese in any shape or form. It could be melted on my shoe and probably taste great.
My favorite food group is seafood, my favorite out of them octopus. One of my earliest childhood memories is eating octopus cooked in its own ink with a pile of white rice. My Grandma would fix it for me almost every other week. Although I like it so much I only know a couple of ways to cook it as the main ingredient in a recipe, it would be a very pleasant surprise to see it included in this book.
I would also like to see other interested ingredients featured such as fiddlehead fern, radishes, different kinds of chile, tamarind, etc not necessarily my favorite but it would be great to see someone whipping up 10 recipes of each.
Good luck to everyone :D
My favorite food is garlic. I've even had garlic ice cream!
My favorite food is peanut butter. I know about putting it on bread, fruit and in a sauce for chicken, but how else could I use it?
Sweet potatoes! Yum yum yum. But keep them plain-ish; no marshmallow or fireworks or craziness.
Is Italian a food? No? then I guess pasta, pasta anything.
When I was 4 my mother would find me sitting in front of the oven (not on) and would ask me what I was doing and I would tell her waiting for the "pasegetti" to cook (Leftovers I put in there from the might before). It's been a life long love affair.
My favorite dish is pad thai - perfect comfort food in my mind. My thing, though, with that is that it always seems like it should be the same but always tastes so different from one place to the next.
My favorite unadulterated foods would probably be either sweet potato or okra. Mm.
It's hard to pick just one food. I usually go with favorite foods of the season, so my current favorite food is the pomegranate.
mmmm shrimp scampi
My fav is crab
How to choose just one? Apples. Carrots. Cheese. Bread.
You know what always makes me happy? A good "plowman's lunch" platter. Includes all of the above. And then chocolate for dessert. Mmmm.
A simple baked potato with butter and salt is probably my single favorite dish. I don't eat this nearly often enough.
eggplant. I love it but have little idea about how to prepare it so I hope I win! and that there is an eggplant chapter.
cheese, or ice cream.... always interested in new recipes
hmmm.... mac & cheese?
My favorite food is eggs. I love cooking them and baking them and I can come up with ten types of food with eggs as a main element (stir fry, scrambled, frittata, noodle kugel, sponge cakes, souffle, mousse, soup, bread, hard boiled) but I would love to have recipes all laid out. And who knows, if I had this book, maybe I would find a new favorite food?
Thanks for the giveaway!
Chocolate.
Why? I have never met a chocolate recipe I didn't like, and I'm always looking for more to try! Especially chocolate with red fruit. (Cherries, raspberries, strawberries.)
cheese would have to be my favorite food. everything from gourmet or unusual, to classic or comforting-- i love it all!
My latest favorite is butternut squash and I'm obsessed with finding ways to eating it other than just roasting. I love that it can go either sweet or savory. If the book has only butternut squash recipes, I would be elated!
Chicken - we eat a lot of chicken and I need new ways to prepare it.
Chicken - My family never gets tired of it, but I do like to find new recipes asoften as I can.
Something with rice would be nice.
potatoes! in any way shape or form.
next up might be artichokes, salmon or chocolate.
Good bread. I get the opportunity to eat good bread so infrequently. I need to start baking more often. I'm now dreaming about ripping a piece off of a loaf of french bread and spooning on some jam.
I absolutely love browned butter. I don't know if that would qualify as a food, but it makes everything better. In PA Dutch country we use it for potatoes, egg noodles... Some people even supplement browned butter noodles with cheese. Apparently we don't worry about clogged arteries in Lancaster.
I absolutely love Sheila Lukins. She is a role model to me. I first learned about her when someone introduced me to the Silver Pallette when I had my restaurant and catering business. Then, Sheila went through the ordeal of a stroke just before I did, so again she became my role model. My favorite food is exotic lettuces and the salads made with them. I prefer them to dessert. I also adore garlic and actually love its "after taste." Please consider me for the giveaway. I would be honored.
My favorite food is corn. It is so delicious and can be put into so many dishes: corn bread, casseroles, stews, stir fries, the list goes on and on.
Rice- it's a staple for a reason
Pears - I recently made the switch to Comice pears and they are currently knocking my socks off. But what do you do with a pear other than eat it plain, or a basic pastry?
Chocolate counts, right? If not, then pork, especially pulled.
Risotto. With anything, next to anything, by itself. I'm a sucker for risotto.
Pasta is my favorite, but I desperately need some new recipes!
cucumber and tomato
my favorite is probably pork, yum! but what i really love to eat and cook and would enjoy having 10 new recipes for is hearty soup/stew. perfect for the cooling weather, and i'm in a (delicious) beans/greens/smoked meat-soup rut.
Pasta - quick, easy & delicious!
Olives, since I was kid. Love. Love. What other fabulous dishes could I add them to?
savory= risotto (so many options to change it up)
sweet=tiramisu (decadent)
empanadas - I dream of finding a good recipe!
pumpkin soup! it's usually quite easy, tasty, and nutritious. and it fits in with the season...
As simple as it is, I could eat cheddar cheese for the rest of my life. I hope there is something just smothered in it.
i've never met an avocado i didn't like.
Eggplant...because it's so yummy and versatile!
Cheese in general... and pork. But not usually together.
Spinach, because it's super health and still tasty. And eggplant, because who doesn't love purple food?
macaraoni and cheese because its THE comfort food
I love pasta! It seems so easy but to cook it well, it needs a good recipe!
Roast chicken. Mmm, comfort food-y.
i love artichokes. it's a seemingly prickly, almost dangerous plant at first glance, but it is so incredibly delicious. I like food you have to work for-- all those little leaves to eat through before you get to the heart. ummmm....
all kind of cheese! its the best !
Oh my gosh, I love peanut butter!

Tomato soup. I'm always on the lookout for different versions. So far, I love plain, creamy, dill and mint, basil, coconut basil, cheese versions, etc.
We eat a lot of rice and pasta, so I am always watching for new ways to prepare these basic foods. Also, I love chocolate and look for any excuse to eat it.
Shrimp
Butter. In all shapes and forms; logs, pats, however
Fuji apples - very crisp and not too sweet
I'm always looking for new recipes for casseroles that include rice.
Jambalaya, I never make it the same way twice, but always love it.
I can always use new recipes for fish and seafood. I'm a big fan of Sheila's recipes. They are always delicious and healthy.
chocolate, it'd be hard to believe a book of 10 favorite foods would not include it... it has to be on everyones top 10 list!
Chile Rellenos
I love the sharp taste of gorganzola cheese. I use it with appetizers and salads but have never found a good main dish to incorporate the flavor.
Chicken - I am always looking for new ways to make chicken.
Venison is my favorite, and the dish for which the recipie is not included, I'm sure, is venison stuffed manicotti, an invention when there was very little in the house and a Super Bowl party was about to happen.
French and Beluga lentils. They're so simple but the texture is so satisfying. And my husband doesn't love them the way I do, so I'd love a recipe that he loves too using lentils.
A really thick hearty soup is a favorite - any kind! So I hope there are some soup recipes in there. And roast beef is a childhood comfort food, so that as well.
I love all kinds of vegetables and greens, but my family is very picky about them. I hope there will be a chapter about different ways to prepare them that might open up the options.

Cheese because most of the foods I most enjoy contain it.
This week its duck I love....anything duck ...livers...roasted ...noodles..breast...I can't get enough...although I did have a particularly disgusting duck breast salad at a restaurant on Sanibel Island in Florida....FYI... had it been the 1st time I ever ordered duck breast I would never have ordered it again...
Sugar! It would make a HUGE chapter.
Everything cheese, and everything macaroni!
From Cajun to Asian, from Italian to fried, my favorite is the versatile, delicious .... shrimp!
