Red-and-Pink-Stripe...

You can never have too many recipes for chocolate.
I've always wanted to try my hand at making a chocolate souffle.
I have always wanted to make a death by chocolate cake.
You can never have too much ganache.
I would love to win this!
I just made my first set of chocolates the other day with a bittersweet green tea ganache enrobed in milk chocolate. I was successful enough (despite a bit of uncertainty about the tempering) that I'm already dreaming up a new, even more delightful concoction. My ambition is to use up the Andes Candies baking chips that have been in my cupboard since Christmas.
My dream goes like this: A bittersweet ganache infused with mint leaves that surrounds a layer of Andes chips. I will pour the ganache -- created with cream, butter, corn syrup, mint leaves, 73% bittersweet chocolate -- into the pan in two tranches, putting down a thick layer of Andes mint chips in the middle. Andes Candies buried in minty bittersweet ganache! The glory of it! The ganache hardens as a mint-chocolatey Andes sandwich, which I will cut into 1" squares and dip in 41% milk chocolate.
Could anything be more divine? If only I had some green transfer sheets, I could top them with a leafy green pattern to make them look the part. But if I can just get the chocolate to stay tempered while I dip (quite a balancing act, I've discovered) they'll look--and taste!--fabulous anyway. If I can pull it off, these might become my brother's birthday present . . . if I don't eat them all first.
the Gâteau au chocolat fondant de Nathalie, brought to us by Orangette!
Mmmmmmmmmmm, CHOCOLATE!
I've been wanting to try a chocolate bread pudding with nuts.
I want to make a molten chocolate cake. I vaguely attempted it years ago, but I didn't know anything about anything then, and it came out horribly. I'd love to try again with some good chocolate and a good recipe.
my favorite and one of my favorie cookbook authors
I never really bake with chocolate except for a basic chocolate cake or chocolate chip cookies and I really should step up my skills. I'd also like to try baking with really good chocolate. My co-workers would love to try out any of my attempts and assist with the follow-up review!
I want to try the chocolate pudding pie that Gourmet magazine is so proud of!
Of all the chocolate treats I've made, I have yet to bake a layered chocolate cake.

Chocolate - my biggest craving during pregnancy and it hasn't let up since the birth of my son! New recipes are always welcome...

I would love some german chocolate cake.
I'd love to try this! Sounds yummy!
we make an awesome made from scratch devil's food cake, would love to see what they have for something like that.
When my husband is home (hehehe he's in the Navy so he's gone a lot) he likes to do fondu night. He always has to make the chocolate fondu though because I am afraid I will burn it to the pot. I would like to be able to surprise him once and make it for HIM. :)
The frontier of the chocolate galaxy is ever expanding! More to explore, with a choclate cookbook roadmap and compass. Sounds like fun.
I'd like to make a bread with bits of chocolate and dried fruit. I swear I've seen a recipe, but at the moment I'm wondering if I imagined it.
I would love to make a flourless chocolate cake. It sounds too rich and decadent to make at home unless you have friends over to help you eat it!
I'd really like to make the chocolate tribute cake on the cover of Alice Medrich's book, Bittersweet. The chocolate ruffles intimidate me, but I'd still like to give it a go.
Oooh, yummy! I always see recipes for this but I have never made a flourless chocolate cake. They always look SOOO decadent!
I'd love to attempt my grandmother's Death by Chocolate cake recipe but I'm not brave enough yet. Like all the best old-timey recipes, it's all in her head and she guesstimates at all the ingredients and amounts. It always tastes amazing though.
i've never made chocolate mousse, keep meaning to!
My husband is a chocolate junkie. I think I've made everything that there is to make out of chocolate (well... maybe not chocolate covered grasshoppers) except I've never made Death by Chocolate cake. I'm afraid to- I'm afraid he'll want me to make it once a week if I do.
Rick Bayless's chocolate birth cake
New recipe for Chocolate Silk Pie. Mine uses raw eggs and haven't used it for year (but was SO
There's always room for more chocolate in my cabinets, small though they may be.
chocolate mousse
Yum, I love chocolate, I have never made a chocolate cheesecake, but I would love to try one. I also have never made fudge.
The only cooking I think I have done with chocolate is cakes and hot chocolate. I did manage to break my blender trying to chop chocolate for chocolate ice cream once. Now I stick with vanilla ice cream.
I would love to try making a chocolate dobash cake
dark chocolate cheesecake, with a dark chocolate glaze. yum.
Although I love it, I have never actually made a classic chocolate mousse. Once I've done that, I plan to branch out and infuse it with bitter orange--orange and chocolate is my favorite sweet pairing ever.
Fudge with carmel
Sugar-fre anything. Chocolate macaroons are at the top of my list.
I've never made chocolate fudge, and love fudge. I should try to make it. Thanks for the giveaway.
I recently heard about Symphony Brownies, which is a layer of Symphony chocolate toffee bars between two layers of brownie mix before you bake it. Sounds soooo good!
I would like to make Jacques Torres' famous chocolate stove that he inivented while at La Cirque. It is so creative! I would fill the little pots on top of the stove with caramel and fruit sauces and put a beautiful opera cake in the chocolate box under the stove. This is the perfect chocolate dessert!!
On the other hand, I am also torn between this and Fernand Point's Marjolaine cake. It is such a beautiful creation and so historic, I get really emotional when I think about the historical significance of his work.
Sounds great! Hard to argue with chocolate.
I would like to try molten chocolate cake.
It always looks so yummy.
I have been thinking about breaking out of my rut and move into ganache and truffles!
Truffles! And not so much a recipe, but I'm eager to learn how to use chocolate decoratively.
mmmmmm... chocolate
I love, love, love flourless chocolate cake topped with fresh raspberries, but have never made one. A friend has a fantastic recipe, and I think I've just been inspired to get it and make it... yep.. totally inspired... I can taste it already...
I always have the makings for amazon cake in my pantry (so much better than any store cake mix!), but I've never made a frosting to really complement it. Maybe a mint frosting with dark chocolate curls to give the cake that denseness it's missing?
If we're talking pure chocolate recipes, I don't have a go-to brownie recipe: I rarely make them for myself, and for parties/potlucks, other people tend to call dibs on bringing brownies.
I will admit, however, I've never used chocolate in anything savory (chili, beef, etc). So that'll be my real answer!
i've been on a HUGE baking kick lately (i'm getting my entry ready for the bittersweet baking contest), and i would love to add this to my inspiration! :)
nicole
I would love to do chocolate dipped marshmellows!

There are so many things I'd love to bake... but with chocolate I'd like to try something different than a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. Maybe these chocolate griddle cakes?
http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/109047
I'd like to try a souffle!
I have always wanted to make a rich chocolate cake with edible gold leaf. I saw a restaurant story many years ago about such a cake and it was called 24KT cake. It also cost 25.00 per slice. I bet it was worth every penny.
an old neighbor of mine used to make a "texas sheetcake" that was incredible - dense fudgy chocolate. this post may have inspired me to unearth that recipe.
@emma: the griddle cakes look good. i may have to try those too!
I've always wanted to make truffles from scratch...and devil's food cake...and chocolate souffle...and chocolate ice cream. There's certainly nothing wrong with chocolate chip cookies and brownies, but I desperately need to work on things that are a little less ordinary when it comes to chocolate...
There's way too many things to do with chocolate to narrow it down to one thing!
I would really like to try a flourless chocolate cake
I would love to try and make chocolate mousse!
Chocolate truffles. There is really not much better than that.
I always wanted to make a chocolate flourless cake.

Truffles. I know they are embarrassingly simple, but I've never made them on my own. Also, I've never made a layer cake on my own. I've made all the components, but usually I ask my mom to help me assemble it.
ganache
Those chocolate/caramel cookies at the back of the last Food and Wine - I have been lusting after those babies.
Please Please Pick me! I would definitely try making a chocolate pie. Or maybe put some of it in the no-knead bread recipe I'm going to try. Or make some fondue to dip bananas and strawberries in. The Kitchn has made my mouth water with all the chocolate this month!!
Bittersweet chocolate torte.
Simple elegance.
Just made chili with chocolate, and it was good.
For my 30th birthday I made a simple flourless chocolate cake that melted in your mouth. I am guilty of making simple layer cakes with chocolate frosting (my grandmother's recipe) for every occasion. What I would really like to try, however, is a simple chocolate pot de creme. And then one with mint. And perhaps one with lavendar ... but I would really like to master the basic one first.
chocolate mousse is something i would love to make!
Truffles.
Truffles with liquor.

A long time ago, I found a recipe called Frozen Chocolate Frango in an old issue of Family Circle magazine. Well, I carried that recipe around from place to place until I finally lost it without ever once making it. Years later, I thought of searching for that recipe on the Web. It's there! I lived in Belgium for a while with a host family. One night my host mom made an amazing cake - 2 versions, actually. One was perfectly baked and perfectly delicious. The other was like a deconstructed molten chocolate cake smashed in with undercooked brownie - dense, fudgy, rich, to-die-for. If I could have that recipe (and reproduce her cake in all its Belgian glory), I would die happy.
I've been meaning to recreate a dessert I had at a restaurant - a delicious dark chocolate and banana bread pudding. It was warm and gooey and delicious.

I love cooking with chocolate and cinnamon- especially in the wintertime. I like making mole and am now trying to expand my cooking with cholate savory dishes. I long ago came across a cook book that had a whole chapter on cocoa nibs but have only found cocoa nibs at a cooking store once. I loved using them in ice cream. One recipe that i always look at is currant and nib rugelach- i would love to experiment with it!
Years ago I considered making Marcel Desaulniers' original recipe for Death By Chocolate. It is one those "chefy" recipes that is fabulous to eat at a restaurant but practically requires its own pastry department to prepare.

Ooh I set aside directions to make a bowl out of chocolate by coating the bottom of a filled balloon and then popping the balloon and removing it once the chocolate sets in the fridge months ago. I'm scared the balloon will stick or be difficult to remove; although I may give a go for Valentine's Day and then fill the bowls with some mousse.
