He kept this brunch menu simple, with inexpensive ingredients. Yogurt, fruit, salad, and spinach and ham quiches — no shrimp or smoked salmon here. But when that quiche is served with a pretty pinched crust in an old-fashioned dish, and the littler quiches are arranged on cake stands, everything looks extra-special.
Of course, we hardly have the deep prop closet that Eddie does! Oh for cut crystal bowls and fully-fledge Jadeite collection! But it's still a very inspiring look at dressing up an otherwise simple brunch with flowers and well-made and seasonal food.
