Three-Tier Slate Server

I really like the practicality of tiered servers and platters, but I often find them too stuffy looking. This slate server is one of the nicer ones I've seen; slate is a beautiful material that makes this look more modern than old-fashioned tea-room.

Hand wash. 11.5" diameter x 22.5" height.

I love the look of slate serving pieces, but they are less than ideal for serving cheese that needs to be cut. Knives will dull when used on stone surfaces. That's why the best cutting surfaces are wood, and not marble or granite.
