Weekends are for brunching with friends and dining with special someones, most certainly. But are they for lunching?
Honestly, I often forget about lunch on the weekends. Which is definitely not the same as saying that I forget to eat!
Weekend mornings are my time to relax. Instead of my weekday routine of gobbling breakfast on my way to the desk, I stretch breakfast out on the weekends. I get distracted with something in the newspaper or in conversation with my husband. I get up for a second cup of coffee and grab myself a second piece of fruit on the way back. This "breakfast" tends to last well into what is technically lunchtime.
I also tend to eat dinner earlier on the weekends. Partly that's because I skipped lunch and am hungry earlier, but it's also because my husband and I are at home and ready to eat earlier in the evening. And again, dinner tends to stretch out for much longer than it does on the weekdays.
So as for myself, nope! There's usually no lunch in my weekend plans. And that's the way I like it!
What about you?

no way. i have a brunch type of meal, and an early dinner.
ehh. sometimes yes and sometimes no. I just depends. I'm definitely more flexible on weekends.
We graze all weekend, with a defined dinner both nights. If we eat breakfast at all, it's donuts (guilty pleasure) or fruit... or a granola bar. Then lunch is more granola bars, maybe some cheese, or some left overs that we eat (...mostly to clean the fridge).
It's just coffee and tea and grazing until we realize we're hungry and the sun is going down.
I tend not to eat anything on weekend mornings, just have coffee, so the first meal of the day tends to be lunch (but usually an egg-thing instead of more lunch-like things)
I have two little girls and on weekends, we tend to just eat when the mood strikes. But most often, it's a late breakfast, a BIG lunch, and then a light dinner. So... yes?
Well, I've always eaten two "breakfasts" on weekends (very hobbit-like according to my husband) -- first breakfast is a lighter meal earlier in the morning when I wake up, like some toast, fruit and coffee. When my husband wakes up later that morning (he's not much of a morning person), I'll have a more "brunch-like" second breakfast.
Since I eat a larger meal then, like eggs and potatoes or waffles, I tend to skip lunch and have a small afternoon snack, then a normally timed dinner. I'm a small person, so I've found eating smaller meals throughout the day tends to keep my metabolism and energy more even-keeled, especially on weekends when we're out and about.
i eat breakfast for lunch on weekends.
Lunch is our big family meal on the weekends. I have a 5 year old who likes to eat, so grazing is not a good option. I tend to make brunch-style foods like Spanish tortilla, fritattas, pancakes, and such, but we also do homemade soups and sandwiches sometimes. I envy those of you with a more relaxed weekend morning! I use the cooking time to start stocking the fridge for the week to come, as I can get something going in the crockpot or prepped while I'm getting lunch made.
Like many, it depends on how early and what we ate for breakfast; are we out and about or just lounging at home? On many occassions, we'll whip up a smoothie and make some popcorn and sip and snack on that all afternoon and call that 'lunch' or just bust out some hummus, crudite and pita chips and do the same.
I find I rarely eat lunch during the week but moreoften, I find time to do so on weekends.
It's more likely on weekends that I eat a late breakfast (after 10 a.m.) and an early dinner. For one person, the excitement of having to do dishes THREE times on a weekend day is quite limited.
Lunch tends to get in the way of activities, so all our family (including kids) tend to save ourselves for a heavy evening meal, especially on holiday. Sometimes we eat so much that we literally can't eat until dinner the following day.
Weird. I never even thought of not having lunch on the weekends being an option. I always have three meals a day. Period. I think I like to eat too much to skip a meal. :)
I usually forget to eat lunch too on weekends! Especially if I'm just relaxing around the house. If I'm running errands, and have been up earlier, I do eat lunch, even if it's a late one. I often just snack around on lazy weekends. I just made a carrot cake over the weekend. Find the recipe here!

I usually skip lunch on the weekends because I wake up later and eat brunch instead.
Yes, I am one of those people who get cranky very quickly without a regular stream of food! I usually wake up hungry, I think is because I am sort of an adult now and eat breakfast every weekday (oatmeal, even!).
I usually do small breakfast (doesnt need to last me through a work morning) and coffee when I wake up or around 10am, then lunch sorta meal at like 3, and dinner at 8 or 9. much more laid back than during the week
