This Red Wine Gin Sour Is Almost Too Pretty to Drink

Congrats! You made it to Friday. How about a beautiful cocktail to kick off the weekend? Perhaps one that hails from Rome?

While this cocktail looks fancy, it's actually easy enough to quickly whip up if you have all the ingredients on hand. You can ensure this by making a batch of simple syrup ahead of time and storing it in a glass jar in your fridge.

The key to getting that beautiful ombré effect is to first mix the gin, elderflower liqueur, simple syrup, lemon juice, and egg white together and pour into a glass, and then add in the red wine. Because of the wine's weight, it will naturally settle below the foam, leaving you with a beautifully layered drink.
