While traveling around the internet this week we ran across a most beautiful pumpkin pie, but to our dismay it wasn't even made of pumpkin... or even pie! Can you guess what it's made from?
This giant pumpkin pie is really a giant sugar cookie that's been iced and adorned with pecans. It travels super easy and is great for kids to grab a slice on the go as they run around your Thanksgiving festivities (without too much worry anyway).
It's an easy way to make something fun and festive without having to bake a pie. Some people still aren't comfortable with the task, but cookies... they're universal. Make it in a full oven or a toaster oven, but no matter what, make sure you send us a piece (not literally, we're not sure it would mail well).

I thought it was nacho cheese!
i thought jello
i thought it was carrot soup. how much food coloring is in that icing?
I guessed tomato soup before the jump.
Cute!
I like to make steamed pumpkin pudding in a tin pudding mold with a snap-on lid. It travels great--just keep it in the mold. It cooks by boiling in a stock pot, so it doesn't need oven space, and it keeps well--better the next day or even the day after that--so I can make it in advance.
I thought orange sherbet.
Thanks SO MUCH for the "shout out"! I really appreciate it!
This being The Kitchn, I guessed persimmon flan.
Oh, a pie looking cookie is cute.
I totally thought it was a heaping bowl of nacho cheese.
Oh it's beautiful!
It looks like the sun. Love it.
I thought it was tofu
I swear this is a repeat post.
