Looking for a filling salad for lunch or dinner? One with lots of delicious toppings? This Cobb salad is just the ticket. It has the requisite Cobb elements — bacon, chicken, avocado, hard-boiled eggs — along with some seasonal goodies, like spiced apple cider, roasted squash, and sliced apples.

This salad has a lot going on, but don't let that scare you. First start out by roasting the acorn and butternut squash. While the squash is in the oven, you can candy the walnuts on the stovetop in some brown sugar and water. Next, mix up the dressing, and start assembling your salad.

When all is said and done, you'll have a beautiful mixture of colors, tastes, and textures. It's Cobb salad, all dressed up for fall.
