These Tiny Paintings Are the Most Beautiful End Ever for Your Coffee Dregs

If I could paint like this, I might actually have something to do with that final, cold, sad swallow of coffee in my cup besides toss it down the drain. These paintings by Indonesian artist Ghidaq al-Nizar are some of the most beautiful things I've seen in a long time. I love the sepia tones and the enchanting scenes he creates.

In this profile of the artist on My Modern Met, al-Nizar talks about how he started off doing latte art (don't we all?), but wound up with straight coffee as his ink of choice because he loves the intimacy of coffee and also because it's "fun to have fun with something you love."
