There’s something so satisfying about tearing into a basket of rolls, still warm from the oven, before dinner at a restaurant. Well, guess what? You can recreate that experience at home — and make it even better by adding ooey, gooey cheese in the middle and garlic and herbs on top.

The key to making rolls on a weeknight is using a grocery-store shortcut: refrigerated biscuit dough. Simply pop open the tube of dough, place the biscuits on a baking sheet, top with some mozzarella, roll into a ball (enveloping the cheese inside), and bake for about 15 minutes.

Once the rolls are cooked through and golden-brown on top, brush them with a mixture of butter, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and Parmesan. The warmth of the fresh-from-the-oven rolls helps melt the butter, creating a gorgeous glossy sheen on top. When you take a bite, you’re also greeted by the irresistible pull of that melted mozzarella.

Set a basket of these out on your dinner table and watch your family tear into them with excitement. Just make sure everyone saves room for the main course!
