No one wants to be that person. You know who I'm talking about. The one who keeps reminding the hostess that she's gonna need her casserole dish back. If you're attached to your casserole dish, you probably shouldn't bring it around this holiday season.
Some (amazing) hosts will always track you down before the end of the night or even drive out of their way the next week to return your dish. But other hosts? Well, not so much.
That's not to say you can't make a casserole — just consider bringing it in one of these disposable, oven- and freezer-safe baking and takeout pans by Simply Baked.
They're available in three sizes: a 12x8-inch rectangle, a smaller 8.5x6-inch rectangle, and a 9-inch round, which is great for snacks and treats. And the paper lids come in various patterns (I'm dying over the the wood grain one!) with room to write a personalized message. They're classy, but not so classy (or expensive) that you'd be crushed if you never see them again.
Just note: The largest size holds a little more than two quarts, so you might have to adjust your recipe or break up a batch into two pans, depending on what you're making. A small (not-too-complicated) price to pay for some disposable cuteness.
