Just in time for Christmas, a Madonna and Child Potato on eBay. No, this wasn't forwarded to me by an email-forward-happy friend. It came from a relation (I won't give away more than that, but it is a blood relation) and she is the person who encountered this potato at the market and ended up being convinced by a friend to put the tuber up on eBay.

I don't see anything in the eBay listing there about a charitable donation.

People should not exploit food like that, it's wrong! :(

What are the possibilities of getting the same scene on a tortilla?

It's a potato w/a dent in it - get over it.

i don't see it.

I'm with leonad. It's a very tenuous comparison. Those two lumps could be anything. But more likely, it's just two lumps.

srtussing,
It was a post-posting on eBay decision to do the donation. I don't know, can you edit an eBay listing after posting it? Anyway, if you win, you get to drive the boat on that one.

I'm pretty sure they can be edited to include that, and it'd probably get a lot more bidding activity that way! (Alas, I am right now in "let's hope I can pay rent next month" mode and I'm pretty sure even with a charitable element my fiance would shoot me if I bought a misshapen potato on eBay.)

We each see what we want. Add some ears and this looks like the jowls of a Disapproving Rabbit.

manatee and child.

It's not the seeing that people differ on. Theoretically, we are seeing the same thing. It's the interpreting that becomes different. I mean...if you try hard enough, you can interpret anything you see as anything you want.
