Look out, everyone, there's a new group food site on the scene! It's called Tasty Kitchen and the gal behind the scenes is none other than Ree of Pioneer Woman. Have any of you spent time on the site yet?

First, here's the link to the site:
• Tasty Kitchen: Favorite Recipes from Real Kitchens
The site just went live about a week ago, so it's still in early stages of gathering followers and building its arsenal of recipes. Even so, it seems to be off to an impressive start!
Much of this is thanks to the community that has grown from and around Ree's blog, Pioneer Woman. Unlike other similar social networking sites that start from scratch, this one actually already had a following - they just needed a place to live. Plus, fellow celebrity bloggers like Bakarella, Jaden from Steamy Kitchen, and Joy the Baker are lending their weight to the site by contributing content and bringing in their own readers.
Tasty Kitchen is designed with Ree's signature blend of modern style, country sweetness, and upbeat sass. It feels easy to navigate and inviting to use. The recipes are broken down into categories (which are always visible on the left of the screen) or are searchable by keyword. You don't have to be a member to peruse these recipes, but you do need to sign up to add your own recipes, rate other people's recipes, or use the Live Chat feature on the site.
Have you had a chance to spend time on the site? What are your first impressions?

I'm on it - I was so excited to see my linguine and clams recipe featured on the site over the weekend. Here's my profile: http://thepioneerwoman.com/tasty-kitchen/members/lauraezolnoski/

I love PW and Tasty Kitchen seems like a great site so far! Ree has already posted two recipes on her PW Cooks site that she found on TK and they both looked fantastic.

I've been a follower of Ree's for eons, it seems, and she always has really awesome recipes. I rarely use recipes, myself, when I cook, but it's good to be able to see something that works for someone else when you're unfamiliar in how to prepare a certain dish, or you just need to use something up.
I would highly advocate following Ree in any of her endeavors, because you know it's going to be good.

If I might add, her writing style is great; she is hilarious and a joy to read!

I would just like to recommend that everyone read the Terms of Use for Tasty Kitchen before signing up and posting recipes.
This section has made some people hesitant to share recipes that they have developed themselves:
