Here's one of our favorite vintage videos of Julia Child, taking a break from classic French cooking to explain the very simple ingredients of the universe. She boils up (and explains) essential amino acids, building blocks of life, and the very synthesization of the universe.

The recipe for a "typical" primordial soup, by the way, makes just one liter.
