We are planning on making pizza this weekend, and so we are excited to follow these two tips offered by Molly and Brandon in this video. You may know Molly Wizenberg as the author of the popular food blog Orangette and the recent book A Homemade Life. Her husband, Brandon, has a passion for pizza, and so this year they decided to open a pizza restaurant in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle. Even though we don't generally cover restaurants, we're fascinated at the extension of home cooking that happens when a food blogger opens a restaurant.
We are going to have a peek at Delancey for you next week. Until then, listen to Molly and Brandon's good advice on making great pizza at home.

Don't cook the sauce - genius!!! Thanks for the tip, can't wait to try it out :)

Another great option is to use a cast iron griddle and your broiler to make your pizza, as demonstrated here:

Who in the world cooks their sauce before sticking it on the pizza?

I generally use my standard tomato sauce on pizza--that not cooking it tip is great.
Apparently, verily, not everyone is as enlightened as you.

I just hope that some of the pizzerias north of Connecticut are reading this...if they could only learn to not cook their sauce, I think I could actually go out for pizza some time!
