Its hard to come up with a favorite food. Still, the first thing I can think of when I want something comforting and inviting and good at all times, I think of chips and guacamole. There are so many approaches to making guacamole, and I would love seeing ten different ways that I can quickly compare each other to and get a sense of what might best satisfy my cravings.

my favorite foods is a tie between bacon and mushrooms... even though bacon only makes its way into my diet about once every month or so...

nonetheless i'm itching for some new kinda way to incorporate mushrooms into dishes besides just the normal saute... this weekend i will be trying out that no cream mushroom sauce posted here yesterday as one of the things that freeze well... i'm even considering making a porcini rubbed turkey for thanksgiving... but we'll have to see how many family feels about that...

but overall i'm searching for new ways to cook mushrooms...

bacon on the other hand... great however its made... and i actually hope its not included in the book... or i might be looking at a future of clogged arteries :-P

My favorite (of the moment) is lamb chops. I just love the taste of good lamb and it's a fast and versatile weeknight dinner. I've made lamb chops dozens of different ways -- with a cumin and cayenne spice rub, with a mushroom cream sauce, with a sundried tomatoes, with a simple lemon butter sauce or in an Indian curry. Each has been yummy and keeps me from getting bored. I think it would be a good choice for this book as it really can be spun so many different ways.
Btw, I just wanted to mention that after you submit the form, the link back to the post leads to a previous Thursday giveaway for a knife rack.

My favorite food group is seafood, my favorite out of them octopus. One of my earliest childhood memories is eating octopus cooked in its own ink with a pile of white rice. My Grandma would fix it for me almost every other week. Although I like it so much I only know a couple of ways to cook it as the main ingredient in a recipe, it would be a very pleasant surprise to see it included in this book.

I would also like to see other interested ingredients featured such as fiddlehead fern, radishes, different kinds of chile, tamarind, etc not necessarily my favorite but it would be great to see someone whipping up 10 recipes of each.

Good luck to everyone :D
