There once was a girl with a sorely neglected food blog. She had once known the magic of having her very own garden, complete with herbs, peppers, and tomatoes. http://hot-dish.blogspot.com/2006/07/morning-scramble.html
That girl left on a grand quest, pausing to rest at a castle that had ample closet space but nowhere to grow her beloved basil. Until the fantastic day that her fairy food mother The Kitchn bestowed upon her a very fine contraption that promised to grow her basil, without having to chain herself to a watering bucket. This is the end of the story but the beginning of many fine cooking adventures.
