apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

Thursday Giveaway: Linden Sweden Double Grinder

2008_04_03-LindenGiveaway.jpgGiveaway: Double Grinder from Linden Sweden
Shop: Available from Amazon for $62.99

As you've cleaned out your cupboards for the Kitchn Spring Cure, you may have realized that you need a real pepper grinder. Or you may have seen all the nice whole spices in the back of your cupboard, languishing until they're called for. Well, here's a tool for you. The Linden double grinder has two grinding ends so you can have fresh spices on call all the time.

This is a hefty and weighty grinder, slim and tall. We love its multi-function design, too. It's a space saver and would get us cracking two different kinds of pepper on our steak.

To enter, tell us one spice OTHER than pepper, that you'd like to use in this spice grinder.

Type a comment in the comment section below by 8:59pm PT/11:59 EST Sunday, April 6, 2008. The winner will be selected at random and will be asked to submit a review of the product. Good luck!

US residents only, please.

I'd love to find a grinder that lasts. :( I grind many of my own spices/mixes. Pick one? Clove. But I have a row of grinders above the stove for variety. I'm constantly replacing one that breaks. Even if I don't win I'd love to hear comments by those who have this and how long its lasted or if you win how it does!

This may sound strange, but mixing rock salt, celery seeds, mustard seeds with a little fresh basil makes a great dry rub on ribs. Non-bbq-ey, just very flavorful.

I've got a set of cheap mini grinders with cardamon, coriander, allspice, red salt, pepper mix, caraway (great taste, hate them in my teeth), and dried seaweed (as a substitute for plain salt). The little ones work pretty well for most of them, but not the caraway or the seaweed, so that's what I'd try.
