Style Garden makes cake stands out of repurposed and vintage pieces, like this great centennial plate. It just seemed too perfect to pass up, so I snagged it, but there are plenty of other unique pieces in her Etsy shop.

I like the idea, too, of repurposing vintage and thrift store finds into beautiful, unusual little pieces for the kitchen and the home. Beauty in the found object...
