Dining Details: Orange Pekoe Cup & Saucer

2008_08_05-Teacups.jpgAfter all our cooking and cleaning, we like to relax with an afternoon cup of tea. We are always on the lookout for teacups in just the right size and shape, and this one may fit the bill...

We firmly believe that tea should be drunk out of a teacup. This particular set has a comfortable handle for the fingers and a wide, shallow bowl - but not too shallow. It looks just deep enough to keep the last sip hot. The gold decorations of impatiens blossoms and fern fronds are elegant enough to make your afternoon respite just a little more civilized, too, and they are slightly retro without being too frou-frou.

How do you drink your tea?

Orange Pekoe Cup & Saucer - Available in orange or white. $20 at Anthropologie.

Those are beautiful, especially in orange. It makes me kind of sad that I don't drink hot drinks.

Do you find that drinking it out of a teacup makes the flavours more enjoyable (like matching wine with the right glass)?
