Coffee Cup of the Day: Alada Cup from Estudio Manus

2008_02_01-Cup.jpg

For those of us who really, really need our coffee, this cup expresses it all. Coffee from this cup is clearly a big deal - wings to fly, and touched with 18K gold. This Alada Coffee Cup is made by Estudio Manus, a member of the Touch design collective in Los Angeles. We like their tea cups even more - retail info and photo below the jump.

Alada Tea Cups, also from Estudio Manus/Touch

We just heard that Touch's goods are going to be carried by Show, a store in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles. Online ordering may be available; check directly with them.

That seems like it would be hard to hold though; I generally drink my coffee BEFORE manual dexterity sets in for the day.

What is this jump that online editors keep talking about. "More below the jump." There is no jump. Do you assume all monitors are the same size? Or are you speaking to people who may be reading in an RSS reader. It seems that one or two popular bloggers starting saying that and the rest followed along not knowing what the heck it means.

Rick, I read AT from the website, and everything shows up as a headline with the main picture and a short paragraph before the jump. I don't know how you are viewing it but I think a lot of people only get the first 1/2 of things as a standard view. Thus, the jump.

Rick,

By "the jump" we mean, if you clean on "Read more..." it will take you to the rest of the post. Think "continued on page B3" in a newspaper.
