Last Bite: Chrysanthemum Cupcakes

2009_04_06-Cupcake01.jpgTake a look at these sweet chrysanthemum cupcakes. Wouldn't they be so pretty for Easter?

2009_04_06-Cupcake02.jpgYes, yes, we've predicted the death of cupcakes so many times, but it's really hard not to come back to them. Also, this technique of creating chrysanthemum flowers is quite easy, if you have the right icing tips, and it's well-illustrated over at Martha Stewart. Have you ever tried these?

That's *beautiful*!

Would you eat the flower? Set it delicately aside and nom into the cupcake? (It seems like a lot of frosting, is all...)

I miss the Cupcake Café sooooo much!!!

They have THE most beautiful (and delicious, if you ask my kids) cupcakes ever.

(this cupcake was undoubtedly inspired by them; the woman behind the cupcakes has been on Martha demonstrating techniques)
