Orange Metro Picnic Basket

2007_05_09-Basket.jpgPicnic baskets have gone high-tech. Forget the heavy wood baskets or traditional models from Longaberger. This Orange Metro Picnic Basket ($29.95, Cooking.com) is lightweight and waterproof, with a drawstring cover that holds even your lightweight disposables close and keeps them from blowing away in the spring breeze.

Do you plan on picnicking anywhere this spring? If so, what are you packing?

It looks like a cheaper version of the Reisenthel Carrybag I got. Even the lifestyle picture of the product published on Picnic Time Inc. Web site share similarities.

But there is one thing is that better for the picnic basket: the cover. Having a cover is much more practical; I miss it while I am grocery shopping with my Carrybag. I should make a cover for mine.
