Wow, these look great! And so affordable too. I've been looking for some since seeing them over at Vegan Lunch Box ages ago ... maybe now is the time to finally take the plunge.

That is pretty slick, and bonus that it keeps food hot! I usually have to keep my food cold, though. I've thus far stuck to my bento boxes and humble tupperware, toting them around in a canvas bag. Definitely not stylish, but effective! I'd like something like this, but one of my nicknames is "The Scuffer" for a reason--I'm so rough and tumble on my stuff, and these wouldn't stay shiny for long. ;)

Ok, so those... are COOL!!!!

I saw those last weekend. My initial impression of them was that they didn't seem like they would seal up as tightly as a tiffin normally would. Even when clamped up, the stack was slightly wobbly. Also, they lack the normal little plate things between the layers of the tiffin, which we find useful, plus I think the tiffin seals tightly with them.

We've got a four layer, two person tiffin we got from an Indian grocery store, I think we paid $25. We also have a really nice one we bought from a Whole Foods. It's a single person two layer tiffin and we paid $17. More expensive, yes, but they hold the food in tightly and don't leak, even for relatively wet foods.

My DH is the one who takes the two layer tiffin every day. He usually packs a spinach salad in one layer and something like cottage cheese in the top layer. I pack leftovers in a normal plastic tupperware thing because I want to be able to heat stuff up in the microwave, which you can't do with a tiffin.

Like RoseCampion, I have a stainless steel, three-layer tiffin from an Indian grocery store (India Sweets & Spices in LA). I think it was $15 and it's very sturdy.

I bought one at Kaluystans on Lexington Ave in NYC. It cost less than $10. Unfortunately, I've never used it though. I just can't think so far ahead as to pack my lunch... I really love the idea of it though.
