It is best to store spices away from light and heat, but often that means they are somewhere, well, dark. If you don't have a drawer for your spices, then they are probably in a cupboard or pantry, and if you are anything like us, that means that bottles are always getting lost in the back. So we like the look of the SpiceStack, a product that promises to keep your spices out of the way, yet easy to access; up in the dark cupboard, but still easy to find.
The SpiceStack is a little box that sits in your cupboard, and the big point of it is that it's designed to fit your own spice bottles. So you don't need to buy a whole separate batch of bottles and start a new system; you can just plunk your own bottles into the rack. Each tray of bottles can be pulled out and down for easy access, and you can even label each tray so you can find just what you're looking for at a glance.
We have not tried this SpiceStack in our own kitchen, but we think it might be a great option for storing your spices out of the way.
• Find it: The SpiceStack, $24.95-$34.95, depending on size. It comes in 18-bottle and 27-bottle sizes.

I wish it was a bit prettier -- but Wow for the concept. I'd have this in my kitchen.

I was thinking that, too, but since it's supposed to be tucked away in a dark cupboard, the looks don't matter as much.

I'm going to buy this. I have had a terrible time trying to find a good way to organize my spices and this looks like a fantastic way to organize them.

Just use turntables (aka Lazy Susans) in your cupboard. I have 3 on different shelves (I have over 70 spices) and never "lose anything in the back".

We did this for our spices. It's out of the way, inexpensive and kinda looks like wall art!

I love that you don't have to buy separate bottles for this! And it looks pretty good for something that's supposed to be tucked away in a cabinet or pantry closet.

This looks fantastic. I have to keep my spices on the counter (not enough cabinet room at all), most racks frustrate me and lazy susans take up too much space.

Love it, but...I have WAY too many spices for this teeny thing.

I like this. I'd use it.

I have a serious spice problem - and found this on stacksandstacks.com i believe.. and WOW does it help tremendously!! Not pretty, by any means, but having 3 drawers of bottles in the area that half as many would take up is a nice space saver. However, the space-saving is not the best part - its the organization! Baking on one row.. BBQ on another, etc :)

I have this, too. When I put it on the wedding registry, I saw reviews where people complained that the shelves would fall off. If you don't leave the shelf hanging out of the cupboard it works just fine.
