Spicy Orange Beef - Roasted Chicken with Cornbread Stuffing - Creamy Lemon Pie - and Cinnamon Rolls with Cream Cheese Frosting. It's still cold and snowy and home cooking is comforting.

Chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter frosting. I've been daydreaming about them all week.

I just made a fantastic pesto using blanched almonds, sun dried tomatoes, feta, garlic and olive oil. Sooooo good!
I'll be breaking out the pasta maker this weekend and making some fresh linguine. And some bread--but ever since I bought "Artisan bread in 5 minutes a day" which I read about at this site, I've been making fresh bread almost every day...so delicious!

I made roasted lamb shoulder with boiled potatoes. Later I'll make pumpkin ravioli.

Asparagus risotto. I'm definitely pushing spring a little--it's cold! But I can't wait any longer!

Jooleeyet - I've been reading that book this weekend and want to start, but I have to go get myself a pizza stone first...I'm especially excited about making home-made pita bread!

hey, does anyone know of a cook book with some healthy dishes (mainly dinner entrees) that has a picture for EVERY recipe in the book? good selection of foods is cool, too, as i'm not looking for vegetarian or thai or anything specific.
i've been on the hunt, but most cookbooks only have pictures for a select few of the recipes, not all. and i'm a very visual person. me needs picturebook! ;)
any ideas?

After eating out all this weekend while visiting relatives, all I want to think about cooking and eating is rice and beans, nice simple lentil dishes, and salad.

Does anyone know what the next bookclub book is? I thought there was an announcement, but my mind's a blank.

There won't be much cooking at our home this weekend, but we did get a chance to try Marlena Spieler's 'Big Meatballs' recipe from the San Francisco Chronicle's Food Section this week. We substituted fresh thyme and sage for the parsley. This flexible meatball recipe may become a staple for us:

alyssazor--I remember seeing a rhubarb relish recipe at allrecipe.com, as well as this rhubarb ketchup one at Food & Wine: http://www.foodandwine.com/recipes/rhubarb-ketchup.
